French-Australian, art enthusiast and linguist. Alexandra was born and raised in Paris but spent several years overseas including in Germany, New Zealand, and China.
Her interest in Chinese calligraphy took her to Beijing where she completed the final semester of her BA in Chinese studies at Peking University.
She stayed in China for nearly two years until relocating to London in 2015 for her MA in ‘Buddhist Art: History and Conservation’ at The Courtauld.
The title of her dissertation topic was ‘Heavenly Apparel: Analysis of the Bodhisattvas' Garments in Cave 260, Mogao, Dunhuang.’
Since graduating from The Courtauld, she has curated art exhibitions in Treviso (near Venice) and worked at Sotheby’s London in the Impressionist and Modern Art Department. She is currently teaching French and German at International House and working on free-lance art projects and guided tours.
She is also co-editor of bi-lingual art & culture magazine Coeur et Art.
Alexandra is fond of music and sport, loves playing the flute and the cello and enjoys training with London Midnight Runners towards her next marathon(s)!
