Wednesday April 20th Private visit to a Hoxton studio and street art tour 10am-1pm
Explore this vibrant area of the East End. Starting at Hoxton Overground we will take a quick look at the gardens and the transformation of the Museum of the Home by Wright and Wright Architects. Gavin has arranged a private visit to an artist-led gallery where we should get the chance to see a printmaking studio, ceramics studio, paper conservation and painting studio. We may visit some other contemporary galleries if they are open and en route discover vibrant street art including works by Banksy and STIK and a famous shop where you can buy works by international street artists. We will finish near Shoreditch High Street Overground station. Please note there are a couple of flights of stairs in the gallery, although the rest of the walk is flat. Due to the nature of the tour the end time is flexible but will probably be about 1pm.
12 places maximum so book in time!
Wednesday May 4th Artistic Chelsea 10:30am-12:45pm
The Tours start outside the designated tube station.
Please wear a mask and follow social distancing protocol.
The group will be kept small and will be guided by Gavin Webb who has been fully vaccinated.
On booking or confirming your place on a walk we will send you an e-mail confirming specific instructions for the meeting point, the location of the first stop on the walk, where the walk ends, and Gavin's mobile number (if you have not received this within 24 hours of the walk please contact Art Historical London).
Unless the weather conditions are really extreme (and we’re talking “don’t go outdoors” weather warning extreme here) or there is some kind of catastrophic transport failure your guide will be there at the meeting point at the appointed time.
Please bring your walking shoes, and remember that the walk may include uneven surfaces and climbing of some stairs.
We are not able to offer Creditor tickets. Please know you can still pay offline, but will need to book a regular ticket.
No recording is made.
NOTE THAT THIS TOUR WILL NOT GO AHEAD IF WE DO NOT GET THE NUMBERS!
