About the Event
After having lost the love of his life, and experiencing financial difficulties, Rembrandt became more and more devoted to his own artistic path and a small circle of art lovers. With his almost sculptural painting style, his famous chiaroscuro technique, and his genuine interest in the story to be told, Rembrandt developed a uniquely personal style that would make the final years of his life the most profound artistically.
Join us as we show how the Timken museum's own Saint Bartholomew was the start of a highly productive and artistically brilliant moment in Rembrandt's life.
