On Line Lecture: The Decameron and the Art it inspired
Written in the 14th century, Boccaccio's book, written in the mid 14th century tells the story of a group of 10 young Florentines escaping the city which is being ravaged by the Black Death. They socially isolate in the country and tell tales to keep their spirits up.
