About the Event
Photography was officially introduced to the world in 1839-in France Louis Daguerre perfected his method of
using silver plates and in England, Henry Fox Talbot invented the salted paper and calotype process-together
these men are considered to be the inventors of modern photography. But this exciting new technology also
attracted a group of extraordinary women. Cindy looks at the ground breaking work of these early female photographers.
