Mariska read Social Psychology at the University of Amsterdam and was tempted to do a PhD in Decision Making Behaviour. In the end she turned to her true love - the Arts.
Whilst having her three children, she completed her BA and MA in Art History, majoring in art from the 17th century Dutch Baroque, at the Courtauld Institute of Arts in London. She started as a College Lecturer, but soon after set up her own company - Art Historical London offering art historical lectures, museum visits, courses, tours, travel and events from Amsterdam, London and New York, and since 2020 online.
Mariska is fully PTLLS accredited in the UK to teach those over 16 and also lectures for NAFDAS (an arts education society, for whom she has lectured in the UK, Mainland Europe, New Zealand, and Australia), the New York Adventure Club, and as a lecturer for the public program at the Dulwich Picture Gallery in London.
She has been an visiting lecturer for the London Art History Society, Orleans House Gallery, friends of the Putney School of Art, The Law Society Art Group, Different-Level, the Anglo-Dutch society and many more.
Mariska excels in organising and presenting live, online, and recorded cultural events tailored for groups or individuals, together with her team of dedicated art historians and administrators, and is passionate about women's causes.
