About the Event
This lecture will take a closer look at his career, his paintings and his patrons, seeking to dispel some of the myths which still swirl around him, partly inspired by documents published in the 1990s, falsely claimed to be connected with him.
Why are there no drawings which can be associated with him. Was he a murderer? Why was he imprisoned in Malta and what prompted his attempt to return to Rome in 1610?
Please join art historian dr Susan Bracken for this one hour talk.
