About the Event
The works by artists like Nicolaes Maes, Pieter de Hooch, and Jan Steen were purchased between 1816 and 1818 and are displayed in the Piccadilly Drawing Room. The exhibition explores the Duke's sophisticated taste in art and includes insightful, often humorous, narratives from the Dutch Golden Age, which were highly prized by 19th-century British collectors.
