Tamara de Lempicka’s art typifies the art deco period. This talk introduces her life, art, her clients and her art deco lifestyle. Lempicka was the 1920s ‘new woman’, independent and fashionably beautiful with a successful career. By 1928 she had amassed a fortune and was the centre of Art Deco Paris. With clients from duchesses to marquises, models and philanthropists, Lempicka’s art and life defined the era.
