Join us for a captivating one‑hour journey into the lesser‑known artistic life of Winston Churchill, one of the twentieth century’s most iconic statesmen. While celebrated the world over for his leadership during the Second World War and his 62‑year career in Parliament, Churchill also found profound solace and joy in painting—an intimate pursuit that offered respite from the pressures of public life.
This talk accompanies the first major retrospective of Churchill’s art since his death, hosted at The Wallace Collection (Saturday 23 May – Sunday 29 November 2026). Discover some of his works on display, including many rarely seen pieces from private collections.
