Ashleyanne Wade

Wall Painting Conservator

Ashleyanne Wade is an art historian with a special interest in sites and objects that reflect devotional practice and cross-cultural encounters. She is currently completing an MA in the Conservation of Wall Painting at the Courtauld Institute of Art, where her fieldwork has included conservation treatments and condition assessments at Grade I-listed English Heritage sites.
Prior to her practical conservation training, Ashleyanne completed an MA in Art History and Conservation of Buddhist Heritage at the Courtauld—a program that took her from research and presentations at the V&A to fieldwork at Buddhist cave temples in Taiwan and along the ancient Silk Road in China. These experiences built on her undergraduate studies at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, where she earned top scholarly essay prizes for her work in Art History and Chinese Studies.
