2024 is the year in which Belgium will be commemorating the artist James Ensor. Oostende, Antwerp & Brussels are hosting many different exhibits and events. Join us live or online to celebrate this unique artist with them!

About the Event
Belgium is putting on an Ensor party, and we are here to celebrate with them! Join Mariska Beekenkamp-Wladimiroff as we delve into the life and career of this unique artist. Introduced to English audiences by the Royal Academy in 2017, Ensor is still a name not many are familiar with. With few paintings in foreign collections, it is easy to forget Ensor was the forerunner of twentieth-century Expressionism and of great influence on his European contemporaries. Time to explore his work and legacy.
