About the Event
It has been an exciting year for Southwark's archaeology, with a once-in-a-generation discovery being made. This is not the first time when Southwark has been the centre of an archaeological discovery that got the whole nation excited.
Join Southwark Heritage Officer, Jessie, on a guided tour through Southwark, exploring the fascinating archaeological sites that are still part of its landscape and bringing Southwark's past alive. From when Southwark was a Roman borough, to when it was the wild Liberty of the Clink, this borough has an unbelievably colourful past that has been preserved and waiting for us all to see.
As well as visiting the sites where nationally significant excavation's took place, participants will be able to handle real historical objects from Southwark Heritage's archaeology collections.
you will be taken to an external website for booking.
