About the Event
Our journey begins in the museum’s groundbreaking permanent galleries, Why We Make, where around 500 objects explore themes of identity, activism, climate, and creativity. Expect a dynamic mix of fashion, design, and cultural artefacts that challenge how we think about making—and why it matters today.
After immersing ourselves in the galleries, we’ll pause for a relaxed coffee break (at your own expense) on the rooftop terrace, taking in sweeping views over Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park—a perfect moment to reflect and recharge.
For those keen to continue, we’ll venture into the remarkable Storehouse: a vast, open-access collection space rarely experienced in traditional museums. Here, hundreds of thousands of objects—from theatre and fashion to design—are stored in plain sight, offering a rare glimpse behind the scenes of a world-class collection.
