About the Event

We will meet outside the Serpentine NORTH Gallery (next to the restaurant) where the trailblazer American feminist artist Judy Chicago presents Revelations, her largest solo exhibition in a London institution to date. Throughout her controversial six-decade career, Chicago has developed a distinctive visual language to contest the erasure of women in the Western cultural canon, thereby giving visibility to their experiences.

A short walk away, is the Serpentine SOUTH Gallery where we will look at Gerhard Richter’s sculpture Strip Tower. We will then visit Yinka Shonibare’s magnificent exhibition Suspended States, where the artist showcases new works, that interrogates how systems of power affect sites of refuge, the legacy of conflict and colonialism.

The tour will end at the entrance of this year’s Serpentine Pavilion Archipelagic Void by Minsuk Cho.
