Sophie Lachowsky

Art Historian with experience in the culture and heritage sectors

Sophie is an art historian and an independent lecturer and writer.

She has law degrees from the University of Brussels and King’s College London. She graduated from the Courtauld Institute with an MA in History of Art, with a focus on post World War II abstraction.
Sophie has lectured at Central Saint Martins, Cockpit Arts and Gemmology Institute of America. She has given specialist talks at Kenwood House, the Sir John Soane’s Museum and the Courtauld Gallery.
She writes on modern and contemporary art, including contributing to the Woman Art’s Journal on Modernist women sculptors.
She is a trustee of The Showroom, a non-profit contemporary art space, in London.
Sophie strongly believes in the power of art, to shape our thinking. She is enthusiastic about creating a unique experience that appeals to a diverse and multigenerational audience.
